About me

Hi, my name is Laura and I live in Cleadon with my husband, son, and Springsteen the Westie.

I’ve been passionate about photography for about 20 years now and love that my passion is now my career.

I generally specialise in three areas of photography: wedding, portrait and food.

Weddings

Being part of a couple’s big day is an absolute honour for me. Getting to know the couple, their wedding style, and, of course, the engagement story is part of what makes my job so enjoyable. I got married in 2017 and know how important it is to capture all of those special little moments and emotions from your big day in images you can treasure forever. Every wedding and every couple is unique, and I especially love those candid photos from throughout the day, which make your wedding personal to you. I use natural light to create a romantic feel, thereby giving a true representation of your day.

Portrait

Having recently had a baby myself, I know how precious family photos are. I love looking back at photos of my son throughout various stages of his first year and seeing how much he has grown in just a few months.

I offer several types of portrait photography, including maternity, newborn, family, couples, even pets! I capture special, candid moments of the most important people in your life that you can look back on for years to come.

Food

Food photography is something I have always had an interest in. I love cooking and food styling and decided to combine this with my passion for photography. I completed a food photography course with the Foodtography School which has greatly helped improve my food and restaurant photography skills. Contact me for more details and prices.

Laura was our wedding photographer in April 2023. Laura is very professional, calming, approachable, nothing was too much trouble.
Laura made us both feel very comfortable from our pre-wedding call, to our Pre-wedding shoot, to our big day. The booking process was smooth and quick and Laura really helped us, with the images we wanted taking.
Laura is a great supplier to have around on your big day, from capturing the make-up prep, groomsmen getting ready, hair, food, family photos, candid photos, family pictures plus the day its self with capturing all those special moments you experience.
Laura was brilliant and our wedding party didn’t really notice Laura was there, very discreet and captures the most beautiful photos.

Laura was our photographer for our wedding in April this year (2023). I had previously met Laura as she was also my sisters photographer at her wedding 2 years ago. I knew after meeting Laura and seeing my sister’s photos I had to have Laura as my photographer. She did an absolutely amazing job, from our engagement shoot to the wedding day itself. She kept us calm and made us feel at ease. I am absolutely in love with our photos, she captured our day perfectly with shots of the bridal party and groomsmen, to family members and the decor. Laura did our wedding photographs and pre wedding shoot in 2021. From our initial contact she was friendly, engaging and professional.
Neither of us were particularly comfortable having our photograph taken but Laura really helped to put us at ease during our pre wedding shoot.
For our wedding we wanted more informal, candid shots in colour and some black and white, with just a couple of the typical family/bridesmaid/groomsmen shots. Laura was amazing, so many people have commented on how good the photos are and that they never really noticed that she was there.
The photos all turned out beautifully and really captured the rustic, outdoors, informal feel of our wedding whilst also getting some beautiful (posed but not obviously so) couple shots of us.
From the getting ready, to the service, to the reception drinks, kids playing, speeches, bbq, first dance and our friends and family milling around, Laura managed to capture it all. We couldn't recommend her more highly. Thank you Laura.

Laura was an amazing photographer from start to finish, I couldn’t have asked for anything more from her. From first contact Laura was quick to respond to emails/messages, Laura met with me to discuss what I was looking for and to get to know the style of our wedding so she knew in advance the area for photo opportunities. Laura has many contacts so if I needed anyone for a particular wedding related service she was excellent with recommendations and quick to reply to any enquires I had.

I couldn’t have asked for a better photographer, Laura knew exactly what style I was after at my venue and not only did she help out she made sure it was perfect for us on our big day by going there to check on everything in our absence. Laura was perfect for our 2020 lockdown wedding! I initially booked her for the wrong year but luckily she was still free and thank goodness she was!
